Shire Healthcare is collaborating with a specialist care provider in Herefordshire to recruit a Psychologist for children and young people with complex needs. The role involves joining a Therapies Team that delivers assessments, formulations, and psychological interventions, including DBT, to individuals aged 10-18. The successful candidate will offer therapy services to carers and families while conducting psychometric and risk assessments. Applicants must have HCPC registration and experience with trauma in children and young people. The position offers a salary up to £55,350 and requires a car owner/driver.
Shire Healthcare are working with a *specialist care provider* for children and young people presenting with complex needs, to recruit a *Psychologist *to work in *Herefordshire*.
*Role snapshot:*
The successful candidate will join an *Therapies Team* who work with children and young people (ages 10-18) providing *assessments *, *formulations *and psychological *interventions *(including *DBT*) on both a *1-2-1 *and *group *basis.
You will provide a high quality therapy service to carers, families, and groups within/across teams.
You will also conduct *psychometric *and *risk assessments*, provide research and contribute to *service developments*.
*Contract type* – permanent
*Hours* – 3 days – 5 days per week
*Salary* – Up to £55,350 FTE
*Experience required:*
Counsellors applying will have *HCPC registration *and hold previous experience working with children and young people presenting with *complex needs*, specifically *trauma*.
Due to the nature of the role, a car owner/driver is required.
