A global manufacturer and supplier of fluid systems is seeking an Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Design Engineer to provide technical knowledge on applications such as analytical instrumentation, process instrumentation, and pressure and flow control systems. The role involves producing manufacturing drawings, project documentation, application and design support, and full technical support. The salary is £30,000 – £35,000 DOE with 25 days holiday and hybrid working. Candidates should have experience in a similar role, hold a degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, and have knowledge of fluid systems and instrumentation. Travel to customers in the southwest may be required.

Role
- Generating appropriate documentation and quotations for fluid power / fluid systems, Valves, Fittings, hoses, Regulators, pumps, Pneumatics, Filters, Instrumentation, Measurement Devices.
- Supporting the various engineering teams with engineering administration, project documentation, production of manufacturing drawings & coordinating various engineering documentation.
- Interpret mechanical specifications, drawings and schematics to provide quotes, solutions, and accurate information for quotes through to order receipts.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD or P&ID drawings.
- Liaise with the external sales team and customer to ensure all quotations are completed and returned within a specific timeframe.
Requirements
- Experience as an Application Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Systems Design Engineer or similar.
- Hold a HNC / HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
- Experience with fluid power / fluid systems, Valves, Fittings, Regulators, pumps, Pneumatics, Filters, Instrumentation, Measurement Devices or similar would be advantageous.
- Having a technical background in Process and Control and Instrumentation Industries would be beneficial.
- Willingness to travel to customers across the southwest
- Full UK Driving License
