We have an exciting opportunity for sickness cover for a Project Officer.

The priority activities are to support workstreams to develop implementation plans which achieve outcomes, support the creation of presentations for workstreams and strategic boards, support/plan/implement meetings conferences and events.

Monitor progress, keeping on time and supports the production of reports.

The ability is to develop and maintain excellent relationship with key stakeholders.Support the development and delivery of  the Change and Improvement programme for SEND. 

 

  • Support the service to report to DfE on progress of testing the various areas of the Change Programme.

 

  • Support and facilitate programmes of work and make significant contribution to the successful delivery of project plans and outcomes to ensure they are delivered within timescales and budget.

 

  • Provide programme management advice and support to teams including senior managers and a range of external partners.

 

  • Support workstreams to develop implementation plans which deliver on agreed outcomes.

 

  • Support the creation of presentations for workstreams and strategic boards.

 

  • Support, plan and implement meetings, conferences and associated events. 
  • Monitor progress against key objectives and timescales and support the production of reports and management information for a range of audiences including working groups, strategic boards and elected members.

 

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with partners.

 

  • Work with others to ensure the programme meets the Council’s strategic priorities and outcomes.

 

  • Research, analyse and report on associated programmes to support the development of the programme across partners and services.

 

  • Contribute to the delivery of projects for the Council that extend beyond the boundaries of the programme.

 

  • Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

The candidates must have:

  • 5 GCSE A-C or 9-4 (Including Maths & English)
  • Relevant level 4 qualification or willing to work towards, Relevant experience knowledge of SEND code of Practice creation of presentations
  • An understanding of Gateshead’s Thrive agenda and Health and Wellbeing strategies.

 

  • Creating presentations for a range of audiences

 

  • Inspection frameworks relevant to service area
  • Previous roles in supporting successful projects and programmes.

 

  • Achieving required outcomes and targets

 

  • Excellent partnership working and relationship management.

 

  • Time management and prioritisation, ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.

 

  • Verbal and written communication to a wide range of audiences including writing clear and concise reports and presentations.

 

  • Group work / facilitation skills and experience
