
Ebit Intelligent Procurement
The Marketing Procurement Operating Partner role involves enhancing client service operations and developing cost-effective marketing solutions across various categories, including Digital Marketing and PR. The partner will collaborate with marketing stakeholders to improve cost-saving initiatives, assess processes, and implement new strategies. Key responsibilities include managing procurement activities, maintaining stakeholder relationships, developing a project pipeline, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of senior procurement experience, strong relationship management skills, and a solid understanding of procurement best practices. The position offers a salary between £55,000 and £80,000, along with various benefits.
As a Marketing Procurement Operating Partner you will help improve our clients service operations and develop cost-effective solutions for all key categories across Marketing including but not limited to; Digital/Performance Marketing, Media, PR, Events, Creative & Design.
You will review and improve clients cost saving initiatives in partnership with marketing stakeholders and lead new strategic projects. You will give advice on productivity, efficiency, feasibility and processes. You will be assessing Marketing processes, developing improvement plans, and overseeing the implementation of new Marketing strategies. You will be responsible for evaluating the Marketing activities of our clients; scrutinising every stage of the process, including conducting risk assessment, business process analysis, and data analysis.
Findings from analysis is utilised to advise clients on ways to improve overall Marketing operations so that operations run more smoothly and spend Mapping analysis of all Marketing spend to provide recommendations on cost saving opportunities.
*Main Tasks of Job:*
* Lead, manage and run marketing procurement activity end-to-end on behalf of Ebit and the client to a high standard ensuring collaboration with appropriate internal stakeholders. This will include but not limited to preparing activity, conducting research and analysis, defining approach, facilitating the development of specifications, preparing tender documentation, running tender process, evaluating responses, negotiating, drafting and reviewing contract documents and service levels, supporting implementation, conducting reviews and managing suppliers.
* Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure client satisfaction including arranging meetings, updates, presentations, reporting (including regular factful completion of Ebit’s Project Tracker) and communicating progress as appropriate.
* Meet key business stakeholders, conduct research, ask relevant questions, gather information to gain an appropriate understanding of business/ spend categories and the supply base.
* Development and ongoing management of a pipeline of procurement projects that reflects the client and Ebit objectives and particularly ensures as much opportunity is identified and driven as possible, ensuring no ‘in scope’ category is missed. Ensure appropriate prioritisation and focus is given to the projects, and reviewing them constantly.
* Proactively update and communicate activity progress including completion of Ebit/ client project trackers and savings reports, relevant presentations and provide information as required to line management.
* Maximise savings/benefits delivered for the client and working at appropriate pace whilst ensuring quality solutions that drive business improvement, ensuring client satisfaction is maintained to a high standard.
* Deliver acceptable return on investment for clients, achieving this as quickly as possible. Nurture client relationship, working to maximise the length of relationship Ebit has with each client.
* Always working and ensuring work is carried out in Ebit’s and the clients’ best interests and ensure a high and consistent quality of output.
* Promote the benefits of Ebit to the client. Ensure protection of Ebit’s market intelligence. Upsell other services where appropriate.
* Clear understanding of client and Ebit objectives for procurement project(s) and service levels and ensure this translates into tasks, appropriate focus, prioritisation, action plans and output.
* Develop an understanding of client and Ebit business, strategy, forward focus and ways of working through background research, information gathering, questioning and meetings with appropriate stakeholders.
* Aid communication between suppliers and clients to achieve mutual satisfaction
* Ensure that the client meets its cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
*Essential*
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in at least two senior procurement/commercial roles.
* Strong relationship management, confident and credible at C-Level/board level and with senior stakeholders.
* Highly organised and focused individual capable of prioritising and re-prioritising constantly.
* Demonstrable experience of succeeding in an autonomous, self-sufficient role in which you were personally accountable for delivering targets, business improvement and managing stakeholder relationships.
* Commercially astute with a drive for delivery and achieving commercial results.
* Demonstratable experience and knowledge of procurement best practice and the procurement process.
* Solutions focused with an ability to be flexible and deal effectively and appropriately with barriers including getting the desired outcome whilst maintaining relationships.
* Strong, persuasive and effective communicator, targeting appropriately to the audience
* Naturally collaborates with and has appropriate gravitas with all stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills and someone who inspires stakeholders to work with them
* Relevant category experience and knowledge.
