36Job Description:We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician (Pumping) to work out of our Mill Green Sewage Treatment Works Site.

As a successful candidate, your role will be to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, in a safe efficient timely and effective manner with minimum supervision.
Although you will be based at Mill Green – Hatfield due to the nature of the role you will be expected to travel in the surrounding area to cover other pumping station sites.

What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician

• Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
• Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
• Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
• Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
• Always working safely and complying with all Health and Safety guidance and procedures.

Base Location: Mill Green – Hatfield however due to the nature of the role you will be expected to travel in the surrounding area.
Working Pattern or hours: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday-Friday Plus the inclusion into a standby rota 1 week in 5.

What should you bring to the role?

• Mechanical experience will be highly beneficial
• Being curious to understand the problem fully, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with the team.
• Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
• Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards will be advantageous
• Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential.

• Competitive salary up to £30,000 per annum depending skills and experience.
