108Job Description:CK Group are currently recruiting for a Process Development Scientist to join a mineral-based speciality solutions company at their site based in Cornwall on a full time, permanent basis offering a salary ranging up to £35,000 per annum

Location:
Cornwall.
Your main duties will be:
- Responsible for conducting laboratory bench-scale metallurgical and process chemistry test work.
- Responsible for safe operation of laboratory equipment, contribution to sustaining capital and improvement capita; requests, logging and recording trial and analytica; data, and technical reporting of the outcomes of bench-scale trials.
- Responsible for basic maintenance and calibrations of laboratory equipment.
- Managing the interpretation of data and the technical deliverables of the team.
- Providing technical expertise in process chemistry, laboratory processes, laboratory safety, and analytical methods.
- Responsible for chemical hazard mitigation, including the maintenance and updating of COSHH records for laboratory chemicals.
- Responsible for sample collection, sample preparation, drying, filtration, splitting, crushing, pulverising, pelletising, pXRF testing.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree level qualification in Chemistry or earth science.
- Experience of working in a process laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of Lithium chemistries – desirable.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards and COSHH regulations.
- Working knowledge of process design for mineral and chemical processes.
- Experience of managing and developing others.
