Job Title: Press Tool Maker/Setter/Operator
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Days 8am – 5pm (1pm finish on Friday)
Pay Rate: £15 – £17ph
We are currently recruiting for a Press Tool Maker/Setter/Operator for our client in Wolverhampton. They are a leading provider of Aerospace accredited precision engineering services. Their capabilities allow them to offer a complete turnkey solution for design and manufacturing. Multi-axis machining, press tooling and fabrication solutions
At their specialist Wolverhampton facility, a Press Tool Maker/Setter/Operator is required. This is an advanced factory with the opportunity to learn all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical and Pneumatic of specialist tooling whilst also required to run the tools when required. There is opportunity to learn several skill sets and progress within this role.

What’s the job?
⦁ Craft, mend and uphold progression press tools.
⦁ Execute planned preventative maintenance and regrind tools.
⦁ Resolve issues related to press tools in production.
⦁ Report and escalate any actions that may lead to harm or damage.
⦁ Assure adherence to the highest quality and regulatory standards in all tasks.
⦁ Recognise requirements for spare parts and record usage.
⦁ Adjust and assemble Pneumatic components on tooling such as sensors etc.
⦁ Handle tool lifting equipment.
⦁ Produce spare parts for press tools and machinery to meet production and customer timelines.
⦁ Maintain and update records of tool history and other work-related documentation.
⦁ Participate proactively in initiatives to attain departmental and organisational goals.
⦁ Maintain a high-standard workplace following 5S methodology.
⦁ Engage in ongoing training and development.
⦁ Possible engagement in miscellaneous maintenance tasks when required.
Who can do this?
⦁ Significant experience with progression press tools
⦁ Substantial experience in tool making
⦁ A technician certificate, BTEC, or equivalent NVQ
⦁ Competent in tool room machine processes such as surface grinding, milling and turning
⦁ Ability to comprehend drawings and manufacturing processes
⦁ Capacity to adapt to a varied and fast-paced environment
