Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:
The job involves converting CAD drawings to cutting and nesting files for CNC machines, creating cutting paths and settings, conducting quality control checks, producing cutting lists, and collaborating with other teams. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a joinery CNC programmer, proficiency in CAD and CNC programming software, knowledge of joinery design and construction, and strong attention to detail. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4.30pm and Friday from 7am to 3.15pm. The salary starts at £28,500, depending on experience.
Job Description:Pre Production – CNC Programmer
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Converting joinery CAD drawings to cutting and nesting files suitable for operation of CNC machine
• Creating cutting paths and settings to optimize production whilst maintaining quality
• Consider and selection of tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly
• Quality control checks of all CAD drawings and CNC files ensuring component parts are detailed correctly before nesting and issuing for machining on CNC machine
• Checking cutting programmes through simulation tests to avoid cutting errors
• Producing detailed cutting lists of all component parts required to produce joinery items for issue to machining department and purchasing
• Collaboration with droughting team identifying and resolving drawing issues
• Work with CNC operator and machinists ensuring efficiency in production whilst maintaining strict quality standards
• Identifying improvements of process and product out put through optimising programming and machine capabilities

Requirements:
• 3 years plus experience as joinery CNC programmer or similar role
• Proficient in CAD
• Experienced and proficient in CNC programming software – Woodwork for Inventor and Magicut
• Exceptional knowledge of joinery design and construction
• Ability to read and interpret joinery technical construction drawings
• A keen eye and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational ability
• Highly motivated
Hours of Work:
Monday -Thursday 7am to 4.30pm (15 mins am break + 30 min unpaid)
Friday 7am to 3.15pm (15 mins am break + 30 mins unpaid lunch)
Salary From 28,500 depending on experience (Would need experience working in the office side rather than the factory setting)Location: West Midlands, Coventry
