We are working with a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets seeking a reliable and enthusiastic PPA Teacher to provide part-time cover during teachers’ PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time, delivering engaging lessons across various year groups as required, with a particular focus on Year 3 and Year 4.

The Role:
As a PPA Teacher, you will deliver lessons during teachers’ PPA sessions, covering a range of subjects and year groups as needed. This part-time role is for 2 days per week on an ongoing basis, with the opportunity to take on additional days for extra cover if desired. Your role is vital in ensuring consistent, high-quality learning experiences while supporting class teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across various primary year groups, focusing on Year 3 and Year 4 where needed.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ learning and well-being.
  • Follow and implement lesson plans provided by class teachers, adapting to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive space.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions and consistency in teaching approaches.

Experience:
Experience working with primary-aged children is essential, with confidence in delivering lessons across a range of year groups, especially Years 3 and 4. Ability to engage and support learners effectively is key.
