A well respected construction and facilities services provider currently engaged on a long term framework with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation service is seeking to expand their team with the addition of a Plumber to work on a Ministry of Justice scheme in Wrexham
The firm is actively working on 60 secure premises throughout England and Wales and are motivated to maintain and deliver safe, clean and efficient facilities and this team plays an important part in ensuring that planned and reactive maintenance works are executed in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
As a Plumber you will be responsible for carrying out the following to the highest standards and to the agreed method statements:
Routine and non-routine maintenance.
Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment.
Checking, repairing and making good faults and life expired equipment.
Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
Mains water supply repairs.
Minimising wastage and continually improve processes.
Ensuring statutory works are carried out to time and that work is compliant.
This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
Ideally you will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance, however we may consider applications if you have NVQ level 2 – you should also have a Full driving licence and experience in operating plant.
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have Legionella Control (L8) and experience in a commercial environment to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
While you won’t need to have the clearance already, you will need to be eligible to go through the process – something that the client can support you with.

There is a 39 hour working week across a 7 day shift rota (with an uplift for weekend working)
