Job Description:Payroll Controller/Supervisor
£45,000-£49,000 plus Benefits

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a dynamic and globally recognised professional services firm?

They are seeking an experienced Payroll Controller/Supervisor to join their team in the Crawley, Sussex office.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a renowned firm, overseeing the payroll of 4,500 employees reporting to the Payroll Manager .

Your New Role:
As our Payroll Controller/Supervisor, you will be an integral part of our National Finance Office, ensuring the seamless operation of our firm’s payroll and related remuneration and benefit packages.

Your expertise will not only ensure accuracy and compliance but also enhance our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:
” Keep the Payroll Manager informed about work status, challenges, and suggest efficient resolutions.
” Handle payroll intricacies for staff starting, returning from maternity leave, processing leavers, and updating sickness reports.
” Execute precise calculations for adjustments, including pro-rata figures.
” Oversee payroll reporting and reconciliation at each payroll end.
” Supervise and mentor Payroll Administrators and Payroll Support Administrators, identifying training needs.
” Manage new starters’ data, complete P11D forms, and oversee BACS transactions.

What We Are Looking For:
” A minimum of 2 years of in-house payroll experience.
” Methodical and organised approach with a high standard of education.
” Strong leadership skills to effectively supervise and support our payroll team.
” Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
” Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
” A commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
