The role
As a Clerk, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and administration of individual and group passes for large scale events and high-profile visits whilst ensuring personnel have the correct personnel clearances in place prior to the issue of passes.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
• Issue permanent passes and permits – including aiding and guidance on pass application process and the issue of temporary passes when required by guardroom staff
• Control and secure the custody of passes and permits prior to issue – blank security forms are Unclassified. Blank ID cards are to be treated as Sensitive documents and safeguarded in accordance with JSP440. . (Military Policy control entrance policy – Joint service publication)
• Carry out completion checks before issuing pass/permit to the recipient – including all relevant security checks following strict GDPR regulations
• Collate of any required documentation for the completion of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) vetting of passes and permits for dependants, contractors, and social personnel – ensure correct completion of all documentation.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF High Wycombe.
Essential experience of the Clerk:
• Evidence of working in a dynamic, customer focused environment
• Experience of working in a position with time restricted deadlines.
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience of working within an environment with GDPR requirements.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
