Part-Time Purchasing Assistant
Position: Purchasing Assistant
Location: Banbury
Salary: £15,132
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, flexi time available)
Potential: Potential to increase hours
Job Role:
To assist the purchasing team in the continuous process involved in the supply of products, which begins with identifying customer needs and ends with delivering customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate Bills of Materials for production from information supplied by the Technical Teams.
- Raise works orders.
- Raise purchase orders from processed works orders.
- Send orders to suppliers via email from Sage.
- Chase suppliers for updates on orders.
- Place and track orders, including office supplies and employee requests.
- Ensure the timely ordering and restocking of coffee supplies and related items.
- Perform regular updates to the Engineering Change Request (ECR) system.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to implement ECR changes and troubleshoot issues.
- End of Month Data Reporting.
- Handle and prioritise incoming site requests.
- Communicate with site managers and relevant departments to address and fulfillrequests accurately.
- Assist with stock taking by inputting information and counting stock.
- Perform necessary administration tasks related to the above responsibilities.
- Cover colleagues’ tasks during absence as allocated by the Purchasing Manager.
Requirements:
Education and Qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Experience:
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent administrative coordination skills.
- Excellent numerical accuracy.
- Database management.
- Experience with SAGE ERP 1000 is desirable.
