A specialist manufacturing firm based in Mildenhall, Suffolk, is seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to join their team. The company has experienced a significant increase in production and is looking to set up a new manufacturing cell to produce bespoke panels. The responsibilities of the role include wiring control panels and switchgear, mechanical assembly, and electrical testing. The ideal candidate will have experience in panel wiring and mechanical assembly, as well as the ability to work from schematics and CAD drawings. The position offers a starting salary of up to £35,000 per annum, with opportunities for overtime and development.

We are working with an exclusive client who are a specialist manufacturing firm based in Mildenhall, this well established company has had a dramatic increase in production throughout 2023 and with exciting growth plans and expansion into new areas due to the demand for high quality British made products they are looking at setting up a new manufacturing cell to produce unique bespoke one off panels to a high standard, this is an exciting time to join a growing business and you will be joining at the start of an exciting new journey for the business. Hence the requirement for an experienced Panel Wirer
 
The role – Control Panel Wirer
 

• Wiring up Control Panels and Switchgear from Drawings
• Wiring sub assemblies and racks
• Mechanical Assembly of cabinets and back plates (drilling tapping etc)
• Preparation of wires i.e. crimping etc
• Installation of cables to drawing 
• Electrical Testing

Minimum Skills / Experience Required – Panel Wirer

• Experience of panel wiring / switchgear wiring
• Mechanical assembly experience
• The ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Experience of wiring one off and bespoke panels would be advantageous
• Able to work from schematics / CAD drawings
