Olive Tree House, an Allegra Care Home, is seeking a skilled decorator to maintain the cleanliness and aesthetics of their care home. The decorator will work 40 hours per week and be responsible for various tasks such as preparing surfaces, applying paint, and cleaning tools. Qualifications for the role include proven experience as a painter, knowledge of painting techniques, and attention to detail. The decorator must also have physical stamina, excellent time management skills, and be a people person. The role requires being double-vaccinated against Covid-19 and an enhanced DBS certificate.

Keeping our beautiful care home spick & span is really important for the health and wellbeing of our residents, and we are looking to welcome a skilled decorator to take pride and ownership of our environment.

We are looking for someone to work 40 hours a week, with the exact schedule to be agreed at interview, and we are paying £13.00 an hour.

You’ll be responsible for planned and responsive decorating around the home and grounds. Some of the duties will include:
– Preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
– Applying paint, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
– Covering surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas from paint splatter
– Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment

Qualifications
– Proven experience as a painter or similar role
– Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Attention to detail and a pride in high standards
– Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions
– Excellent time management skills
