72Job Description:Close to High Wycombe, this setting is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to join their friendly team. This light and airy setting offers a great range of facilities to support the children in a varied and innovative curriculum.

They provide a range of activities including sensory sessions, physical sport-based sessions and weekly French lessons. There is a large outdoor space, including a nature area, that allows children to explore and discover the world around them. Activities focus on brain stimulation and developing senses such as touch, sight, sound and smell, as well as the sense of wellbeing and relaxation.

As a Nursery Room Leader you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early experiences of young learners. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming, organised, and stimulating room environment where children can explore, learn, and develop to their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • The Nursery Room Leader will assume a leadership role within a dedicated room, guiding and inspiring a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
  • Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative curriculum, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and fostering a love for learning
  • Support and mentor team members, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating continuous professional development to enhance individual and collective skills
  • Cultivate strong relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication, regular updates, and organized events, fostering a sense of community
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of care within the designated room, conducting regular assessments, and implementing improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Childcare recognised qualification
  • Significant experience in an early years setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve outstanding outcomes for children
