116Job Description:Are you a Nursery Room Leader looking for the next step in your career? We have a fabulous setting near to Dulwich which is on the look out for someone just like you! This setting has good bus links and is a short walk from the train station.

You would be joining a caring and professional team who focus on forming a strong attachment with children to build positive relationships with both child and families. It’s a welcoming environment where they celebrate different cultures and help the children to appreciate the world around them.

As a Nursery Room Leader you will support the provision of the highest standard of care and education for the children, and effectively manage daily operations of the room, including building partnerships with parents and care givers. It’s a large setting with a fantastic outdoor play space, a dedicated baby garden, an indoor soft play room and is close to local shops, the train station and local bus routes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with fellow Nursery Practitioners, teachers, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Promote positive relationships with parents and carers and encourage their involvement in the nursery, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, parent, visitor and colleagues at all times
  • Adhere to and promote safety measures, including first aid procedures, to guarantee the well-being of children in the nursery
  • Provide emotional support, comfort, and guidance to help children develop social and emotional resilience
  • Foster autonomy in children by promoting self-help skills and encouraging independence in daily tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant and recognised Childcare qualification
  • Previous experience of working in an Early Years setting in a supervisory capacity
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
  • Good knowledge of Ofsted expectations
