An independent nursery in Walton on Thames is seeking a Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to work in either a Toddlers or Pre-School room. The nursery aims to encourage children to develop their independence and take ownership of their actions. The practitioner will contribute to the holistic development of young children by providing a nurturing and stimulating environment. Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity for Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join an independent nursery in the Walton on Thames area.
You will work in either a Toddlers or Pre-School room in a setting that encourages children to develop their independence, providing a supportive environment for their growth. Their dedicated and friendly team encourages the children to take ownership of their actions and embrace challenges, fostering a sense of responsibility in their exploration of the environment.
The purpose of this Level 2 Nursery Practitioner is to contribute to the holistic development of young children, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
In addition to a competitive salary you will receive 20 days holiday including the Christmas week off, free uniform, pension, along with paid for social events. This setting can offer 3/4/5 day a week shift patterns to assist you will your work / life balance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Hold a recognised childcare qualification – minimum level 2
- Experience of working in a nursery setting
- Encourage independence and self-care skills in children
- Model effective communication for children’s development
- Foster a positive and respectful environment
