126Job Description:Our client, a small independent nursery near Weybridge, are looking for an experienced, qualified Nursery Practitioner to join them.

With high standards already in place, this lovely nursery offers the best childcare to everyone involved. The nursery encourages independence and own discovery that allows children to become individuals, in a safe and nurturing environment. With a wide range of activities to learn and explore, like woodwork and cooking, to role plays, this really is a rich experience for the children. A variety of resources and support is open for everyone to use. This nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Framework which allows children to gain the right level of outcomes required but reduces the work load that a Nursery Practitioner would generally need to achieve. You will need to be qualified to a relevant level 3 childcare qualification and have experience of working in a nursery.

You can expect to be paid a good salary, pension, ongoing training, uniform, 1 week off Christmas plus 20 days annual leave and more.

Responsibilities: 

• Support the nursery providing a safe, happy, environment for individual children for them to meet their full potential
• To work in partnership with parents and carer givers
• To follow the daily standards already in place
• To update documents and records as required
• Ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met
• Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Hold a relevant level 3 childcare certification or equivalent
• Have recent experience working with children
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with colleagues, parents, carers and children
• Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills
• Able to work as part of a collaborative team
