109Job Description:This is a great chance to join a fun filled nursery as a Nursery Practitioner in a wonderful setting in the Bognor area.

As a Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for supporting the planning, organization, and operation within the room. You will assist in providing a stimulating and varied program of play as part of the the team, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times and working alongside the Nursery Leadership Team to deliver a consistent high-quality experience for the children, parents and carers.

You will help ensure that all aspects of each individual child’s development are given full consideration via monitoring and implementing sufficient safeguarding policies. You will be proactive in the process of activity planning, child observation, and the maintenance of records on a regular basis, as well as contributing to the stimulating and creative atmosphere within the nursery.

The is a full time 40 hour per week role. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support children at all times and contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment
  • Prepare and supervise room activities that engage the children, encouraging them to use their imaginations and to develop their social and learning skills
  • Communicate clearly with parent and carers to convey their child’s progress and signpost milestones
  • Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents and children
  • Help to implement company policies, procedures and operational practices to maintain a happy and healthy room

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Recognised childcare Level 3 qualification or above is essential
  • Strong knowledge of the statutory requirements for Safeguarding and Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
