62Job Description:Set in an imposing historic building close to Barnet, London, this modern nursery is seeking a Nursery Deputy Manager to join the team.

As the Nursery Deputy Manager you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall leadership and management of the setting. You will support the daily operation, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also contribute to curriculum planning, promote a positive learning environment, and engage with parents to facilitate effective communication. In addition you will maintain high standards of care, safety, and hygiene, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the nursery.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Excellence: Assist the Nursery Manager in leading a team of nursery educators and practitioners, ensuring a supportive and collaborative atmosphere
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to planning and implementing a diverse curriculum, promoting children’s learning and development
  • Quality Care: Oversee daily operations, maintaining high standards of care, safety, and hygiene
  • Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, ensuring effective communication and involvement in their child’s progress
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification
  • Proven leadership experience, demonstrated in a childcare setting.
  • A genuine commitment to creating a positive and enriching experience for young children
  • Effective communication with strong interpersonal and communication skills
