Recruit4staff is representing a manufacturing company in their search for a Maintenance Engineer in Powys. The position offers a salary of £41,460 per year, with overtime at double time. The engineer will work a 12-hour shift on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and facilities maintenance, as well as participating in cross-functional teamwork and project work. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering and be trained to IEE wiring regulations standards. The position is commutable from Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Telford, Welshpool, Newtown, Wrexham, Chester, Shropshire, Powys, and North Wales.

Job Title – Maintenance Engineer
For the Maintenance Engineer, our client is offering:
- £41,460 P/A
- ALL OVERTIME IS AT DOUBLE TIME £44.28 P/H
- Thursday, Friday & Saturday Shift, 12-hour days 6 AM to 6 PM (SAME SHIFT EVERY WEEK)

The role – Maintenance Engineer:
- A fully trained Maintenance Engineer ideally with a strong background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and used to working to high standards of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental practices.
- Working as part of the maintenance team the role will require a strong degree of cross-functional teamwork as well as completing individual projects/tasks.
- The role requires the engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and facilities maintenance. There is also a requirement to be involved in and carry out a range of project work based on solutions generated through our continuous improvement approach throughout the site.
What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a maintenance engineering role (incorporating both mechanical and electrical)
- Be trained to IEE wiring regulations standards 18th Edition
- Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office
- Good communication skills, timekeeping and attention to detail
