4Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Enablement Officer position in North London. The role involves working closely with individuals who have severe and enduring mental health support needs, providing short-term intensive support to improve their ability to live independently and participate in the community. The officer will also assist with establishing effective relationships with service users and provide practical assistance and support. Essential requirements for the role include proven experience in working with adults with mental health needs, good teamwork skills, and excellent communication abilities. An enhanced DBS clearance is also required.

Mental Health Enablement Officer- North London
Are you a passionate, dedicated Mental Health Enablement Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Mental Health Enablement Officer to join the Mental Health Enablement based in North London.
Full time Post (35 hours per week)
£16.00 – £19.56 per hour Umbrella rates
About the Service:
The Local Council Mental Health Enablement Service works closely with people who have severe and enduring mental health support needs in order reduce hospital delay discharge and to improve their ability to live independently and participate in the community, as well as improve quality of life and well-being.
Information on the Role:
- Working mainly 1:1 in people’s homes and in the community, we provide short-term intensive support to achieve a range of agreed and personalised outcomes.
- Our work includes resettlement and outreach work, and support to access opportunities in employment, education and leisure.
- Enable service users to maximise independent living, community participation, and healthy living in a personalised way.
- Assist with establishing, developing and sustaining effective working relationships with service users
- Provide appropriate and practical assistance and support to meet the needs and requirements of service users, individually and as a team.
- Some supervisory responsibility and where required, would be expected to assist with the induction of staff, on the job training of colleagues and students, and the allocation and checking of work.
- To assist the Manager/Team Leader in ensuring that service users have appropriate access to advocacy and where appropriate to the service, are empowered to self advocate.
- Be an active and constructive member of the team and assist in planning and implementation of events, groups and outcomes that achieve positive outcomes for the service and service users.
- Comply with the Council’s financial regulations and be aware of the resources available within the specialist area, including other sources of funding so that maximum benefit is obtained for service users within budget
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience of working as main support worker to a caseload of adults who have primary, severe and enduring mental health needs
- Works well as a team member.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
