Chelsea Physic Garden is seeking a Membership Manager to lead the growth and development of a thriving membership community, supporting the mission to unite people with plants that heal.

The role focuses on driving membership recruitment, retention, and income, while ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint. Key responsibilities include leading marketing campaigns, training visitor-facing teams, and delivering experiences that turn visitors into lifelong members.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver strategies to grow membership by 10% over five years.
• Inspire and train staff and volunteers to champion membership, upselling, and Gift Aid.
• Oversee accurate membership processing, data management, and GDPR compliance.
• Lead engaging communications and campaigns to retain and recruit members.
• Create inspiring member experiences through events, coffee mornings, and exclusive opportunities.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless visitor-to-member journeys.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Customer-focused professional with proven success in sales, membership, or audience engagement.
• Skilled communicator with the ability to build relationships and motivate teams.
• Strategic thinker with strong data insight and growth mindset.
• Flexible and creative, with willingness to contribute to major public events such as Open Days, Summer Lates, and Christmas Fair.
