Job Description:An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established company within the Aerospace and Mechanical Sector!

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in producing company products to the required standard and quality, following detailed instructions from drawings and supervisors.
Major Tasks:
Engineering Duties: Perform sub-assembly production fitting and final assembly tasks.
Component Assembly: Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components and sub-assemblies as needed.
Fabricated Assembly: Assist in building fabricated assemblies of varying sizes and complexities from scratch, utilising skills like marking out, cutting, folding, pipe bending, weld joint preparation, hydraulic runs, pneumatic runs, and general production assembly.
Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to the Company’s Health and safety policies and procedures, prioritising safety for yourself and others by following safety rules.
Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be expected by the Company.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required:
Engineering Background: Previous experience in an engineering role.
Drawing Interpretation: Ability to work from manufacturing, general arrangement, and sub-assembly drawings.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a strong teamwork ethic.
Tool Proficiency: Skill in using various hand and power tools for assembling fabricated components.
Quality Assurance: Verify complete assemblies for alignment, dimensions, and quality.
Vehicle Fabrication (Advantageous): Experience in vehicle fabricating/fitting is advantageous.
Problem Solving: Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and a logical mindset.
Technical Knowledge: Circuitry knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrics would be advantageous.
Related Background: A background in Aviation, Military, Marine, or similar industries is advantageous.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 DOE
