Location: St Helens (WA10 1HF)
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Shifts: Monday- Thursday 08:00- 16:30, Fridays 08:00- 13:00
Contract Type: Permanent
We are currently seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join a well-established company, who are market leaders in designing, manufacturing, and fitting specialist pressure valves and gauges for the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries ensuring the safe use of bulk liquid storage tanks.
As a Manual Machinist your duties will be;
” Set up and operate machines e.g., Manual Lathes, Milling Machines.
” Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
” Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
” Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
” Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
” Quality checks.
The successful Manual Machinist will have the following skills;
” Must have at least 2 years’ experience on manual machines.
” Manual turning experience, manual lathes, milling machines and fitting experience would be required.
” UK driving licence would be ideal, however, not essential.
” Good communication skills.
” Able to work well as part of a team as well as individually.
