Job Title: Manual / CNC Miller
Location: North of Northampton
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm
Friday 7.30am-12.30pm
Pay Rate: Circa £38,000 – £42,000
Overtime available: Available as required – X1.5

Our client is a specialist engineering company with a worldwide reputation as an innovator in low volume, high performance solutions for torque measurement, power transmission and test bed systems across various industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy and oil & gas. Each year we export between 80-90% of our bespoke goods outside of the UK.
Due to our long-serving employee who will be retiring, we wish to recruit a Miller to work in our machine shop making precision parts for use in Torquemeters’ own products.
Working within a well invested machine shop that is well heated and ventilated, you will join a highly skilled team of machinists, both young and time served. The company welcome applications from both experienced and young and enthusiastic engineers looking for development.

What’s the job?
⦁ Programming either at machine in Fanuc or Offline with AlphaCAM
⦁ Setting and operating a range of Machining Centres –3 or 4 axis
⦁ Work to tight tolerances – OneOFF – twoOFF
⦁ Component sizes range from 20mm > 600mm
⦁ Use of conventional Milling machine as required.
⦁ Maintaining quality standards through use of measurement tools.

Who can do this?
⦁ Time Served Apprenticeship, with an appropriate craft or technical qualification. (preferable)
⦁ If not, minimum of 5+ years within low volume machining.
⦁ Provide a great level of attention to details and focus on the given task
⦁ Be dependable, follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions and keep commitments
