Leader Education is recruiting for a Male 1-1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) position in a large Primary School in South Shields. The ideal candidate should have previous experience supporting individuals with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as experience working on a 1:1 basis. The working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm, and it is a long-term position. The successful candidate should have an enhanced DBS, previous experience as a 1-1 support worker, knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plan’s (EHCP’s), good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Job Description:Leader Education are recruiting a Male to work as a 1-1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at a large Primary School based in South Shields. The ideal Male 1-1 LSA will have Previous experience with supporting individuals with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs as well as experience in working on a 1:1 basis.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will have:
An enhanced Child and Adult and Workforce DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
Previous experience as a 1-1 support worker.
A good knowledge on Education, Health and Care Plan’s (EHCP’s).
The ability to aid in lessons and activities.
Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
