Machine Setter

Recruit4staff is representing a leading plastic company in their search for a Machine Setter in Rushden. The successful candidate will receive a salary of £28,000 per annum, rising to £30,000 per annum after probation, and will have the opportunity for career progression. The Machine Setter will be responsible for working in accordance with safe working practices, optimizing blow molding processes, and ensuring efficient operation of ancillary equipment. Previous experience in the plastics industry and a good understanding of blow molding processes are essential qualifications for this role.

Job Description:

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading plastic company in their search for a Machine Setter to work in their leading facility in Rushden. 

For the successful Machine Setter, our client is offering:

2. £28,000 per annum rising to £30,000 per annum after successful probation 
3. 2 shift patterns are available 
4. Monday to Friday (6-2 2-10)
5. Shifts (3 on 2 off for days / 3 on 4 off Nights)
6. Permanent position 
7. Free on-site parking 

The role – Machine Setter:    

2. Work in accordance to safe working practices at all applying the principles of a zero-accident mentality;
3. Completion of daily safety checks; Maintenance of a safe, clean, and tidy work area in cooperation with the other shift workers
4. Optimise Blow Moulding process setting in line with company KPI
5. Continuous improvements with the aim of achieving targeted cycle times and specified quality as quickly as possible,
6. Maximise efficiency through the set-up of ancillary equipment, including conveyors
7. Competent in all operator & setter level 1 and 2 duties

What our client is looking for in a Machine Setter:

2. Previous experience within the plastics industry – ESSENTIAL
3. A good understanding of Blow Moulding Processes – ESSENTIAL
4. Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing processes – ESSENTIAL 
5. Health and safety awareness 
6. Excellent attention to detail 
7. An understanding of the process of manufacturing plastic bottles – DESIRABLE
