Role: Refuse Driver
Location: Wareham
Contract Type: Temporary
Pay: £12.18 per hour
Working pattern: 06:30 – 14:00 (13:30 Friday)
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5T Driver to submitted to the next paid induction in Ferndown on 17th June (around 4 hours). The successful candidates should be available start work from Friday 18/6/24.
You will be responsible for transporting waste to various locations. This position requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate different types of vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Communicate with team members to ensure efficient delivery
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Bank holiday working could be a requirement (1.5x pay increase)
Requirements:
- To be considered for this post you must hold a minimum Category C (7.5T) driving licence, have a current digital tachograph card and evidence of a completed Drivers CPC qualification is essential
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to lift heavy objects and handle physical demands of the job
- High level of attention to detail and safety consciousness
- PPE Mid-sole safety shoes + Hi-Vis vest
- To conform with strict health and safety requirements, the role is subject to random and regular drug testing
