University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust (UHB) is recruiting a Locum 10 PA Consultant Clinical Oncologist, to join their dynamic team, for a period of 12 months.
The successful post holder will join an innovative team of Consultant Oncologists, with the scope of covering lung, adrenal, breast and Acute Oncology Cover. The post holder can expect to deliver tumour site specific outpatient clinics, undertake inpatient ward rounds, provide medical leadership for the Acute Oncology Service (AOS). There is also the opportunity to undertake clinics at Walsall Healthcare Trust. The post holder will be supported by a team of clinical and medical oncologists, as well as a secretary.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
Applicants are invited to apply for a 12m NHS Locum Consultant clinical Oncologist post with a special interest in breast, adrenal, lung and AOS tumour sites.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to high quality patient care & significant experience in delivery chemotherapy and managing side effects.
You will be joining a friendly and innovative consultant team of clinical and medical oncologists committed to delivering highest standards of cancer care in a large regional cancer centre.

Job description
Broad experience and understanding of Oncology
Specialist tumour site experience
Significant experience in delivering chemotherapy and managing side effects
Demonstrates good interpersonal skills with patients, relatives and member of the clinical team
Ability to gain confidence and trust
Ability to cope with pressure
Ability to respond to change
Conscientious and hardworking
