Position: Permanent

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Lettings Officer to join our team. We manage over 4,100 homes across Shrewsbury, Oswestry, and Bridgnorth, delivering high-quality housing services and supporting vibrant communities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage housing allocations and tenancy terminations within a designated area.
  • Provide advice and support to tenants, ensuring properties are allocated efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Develop marketing materials to advertise homes and support customers through the onboarding process.
  • Assess housing applications in line with policies, taking a risk-based approach to ensure sustainable tenancies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, neighbourhood teams, and the Local Authority to coordinate lettings, including new developments.
  • Maintain high data quality in housing systems and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English & Maths) and a full UK driving licence.
  • Experience in housing or a customer service environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in IT systems and data analysis.
  • Compassionate approach to customer service, with knowledge of safeguarding policies.
