We are working with a market leader in robotic milking machinery to recruit a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, bridging the gap between senior management and the mechanical engineering team.
The Job
-Utilizing AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (3D) for mechanical drawings, addressing in-depth questions from your team.
-Collaborate with project teams to develop mechanical solutions that push the boundaries of innovation.
-Assist senior management in designing and managing projects that propel the company’s growth.
-Ensure all designs are fully specified, released to consistent high standards, and delivered on time.
The Candidate
-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
-Experience with automation and/or robotics systems
-Project management experience
-Strong leadership skills
-Analytical and strategic thinking skills
-Experience or interest in dairy farming would be desirable
The Package
-Salary £43,000-£48,000 DOE
-37.5 hour working week
-Early finish on a Friday
-25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays
-Salary sacrifice pension scheme
