111Job Description:The Lead Innovation Project Manager is crucial to our OFWAT innovation agenda. In addition to leading and managing complex projects, they mentor a team of project managers, ensuring seamless delivery and promoting continuous improvement within the Innovation PMO. Your collaboration with the Innovation Engagement Delivery Manager to enhance PMO processes, tools, and methodologies aligns with Thames Water’s strategic goals.
What you’ll be doing as a Lead Innovation Project Manager
- Manage multiple projects and work streams across the innovation portfolio.
- Lead and manage complex, high-impact innovation projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality standards.
- Mentor and coach a team of project managers, providing guidance on project management methodologies, best practices, and career development.
- Support in aspects of governance, benefit realisation, risk, and lessons learned in consultation with TW PM practices and processes.
- Collaborate with the Innovation Engagement Delivery Manager to develop and enhance PMO processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
- Build strong relationships with key organisational stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Ensure that projects are aligned with Thames Water’s strategic goals and deliver tangible business value.
- Track and report on project performance, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues.
Hybrid—Reading Sewage Treatment Works: Your role will require you to be in the office once a fortnight, and for the rest of the week, you will work remotely.
This role will be work 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday
What you should bring to the role of Project Manager
- Qualified in APM or PRINCE2 and ideally hold a STEM degree
- Background of working in a technical environment.
- Knowledge in managing projects.
- Knowledge of developing and implementing PMO processes and tools.
- Worked within Agile project management methodologies.
- Proven background in mentoring and leading project teams
