Job Details: 

This Lead Design & Technology Teacher role is full-time temporary basis, with great potential of progressing to a permanent position.

We require an eager and passionate Design & Technology Teacher that will innovate and raise standards as well as attainment. A good sense of humour, the ability to relate and effectively communicate with young people are essential.

To be successful for this Lead Design & Technology Teacher position, you will:

• Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).
• Have a great understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Have previous experience working as a Design & Technology Teacher within a Secondary School setting.
• Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
• Have a passion for working with young people.
• Provide & encourage a safe and healthy environment following safeguarding procedures.
• Innovative and resourceful teaching methods, plan curriculum and evaluating student progress.

Essential Requirements:

As a minimum, all applicants must have:

• Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).
• a wealth of experience as a Design & Technology teacher within a Secondary School setting.
• A positive approach to child development, managing behaviourand be passionate about your area of expertise which is evident in your teaching.
• Applicants will be subject to pre-employment checks and should hold current DBS check registered to the update service.
