We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Deputy Head Academic to join the Junior School. 

This role is a Senior Leadership Team position and will be a part of the Putney High School SLT, supporting strategy for our pupils from 4 to 18 years of age. 

As the Deputy Head Academic, you will participate fully in school life, contributing to the continuing success and warm atmosphere.

The ideal candidate would be:

  • An experienced and inspiring teacher with a deep understanding of primary education and the academic needs of older prep pupils.
  • Passionate about curriculum design and ambitious for all pupils, with a track record of improving academic outcomes. 
  • Ideally trained in, or experienced with, lesson observation, coaching and staff development. 
  • Organised, reflective and proactive, with the ability to lead staff and manage change with clarity and empathy. 
  • Excited by innovation, confident with educational technology, and driven by a belief in the power of education to shape futures.
