Inspection Team Service Co-Ordinator

Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour – Based in Sittingbourne Kent, St. Georges Business Park.

Full time – Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, 25days holiday plus bank holidays per year.

Job Description:

S.T & W Inspections is a leading provider of Non-Destructive Testing services, and are looking for a skilled Inspection Team Service Co-ordinator to join them as they continue to grow. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in organising the Inspection Team and Sub-Contractors which service sites all over the UK.  

The service coordinator will work closely with management and procurement to ensure that the inspection visits are well organised, data is collected and relayed to Clients in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily work plan
• Allocate works to Inspection Engineers
• Communicate with Clients to ensure all inspection/safety requirements are collected and relayed to the relevant inspection team members before arrival to site
• Issuing RAMS to Clients before Inspection Engineer site attendance
• Collating/compiling and issuing inspection reports to Clients
• Take responsibility for the maintenance and condition of issued equipment ensure calibrations are booked, and that equipment compliance paperwork is maintained.
• Ensure Inspection Engineers training remains up to date, booking courses where required.
• Effectively communicate across the company, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the maintenance of the ISO 9001 quality management system by ensuing all Engineers are issued with up to date policies and procedures.
• Assist Directors, Finance personnel, and Inspection Engineers as required

Skills required

• Previous experience in similar settings such as construction, fabrication, or inspection is essential.
• Proficiency in Risk and Method Statement writing with excellent command of technical terminology.
• Excellent with Microsoft applications, Adobe and professional email manner
• Willingness to learn new software as the company grows
• Understanding of how construction sites operate, time frames and the importance of health and safety
• Understand the importance of customer satisfaction
• Confident directing other team members, providing support where required
• Detail oriented – able to proof read and spot any technical errors before document issue
• The ability to use own initiative
• Good communication at all levels
• Professional and confident telephone manner
