A luxury hotel in central London is seeking an experienced HR Manager to enhance its HR function. The ideal candidate will possess a strong HR background in the luxury hospitality sector, a CIPD qualification, and knowledge of employment law. Responsibilities include acting as a contact for employees, overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes, and monitoring industry trends to attract top talent. The HR Manager will also implement strategies to improve employee satisfaction, guide managers on performance issues, ensure compliance with legislation, maintain confidential personnel records, and support managers in various HR matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers, maintaining an open-door policy to address HR-related concerns and provide timely, professional support.
  • Oversee the onboarding journey for new team members, including organizing an effective induction to ensure they feel welcomed and well-prepared.
  • Assist managers in handling the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and gathering actionable feedback to drive improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends and employee incentives to design compelling strategies for attracting and retaining top-tier talent in a competitive market.
  • Develop and implement initiatives aimed at reducing employee turnover and boosting overall satisfaction, creating a positive workplace environment.
  • Collaborate with managers to address performance challenges, offering guidance to resolve underperformance and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure all HR practices and procedures comply with current legislation, company policies, and GDPR requirements, safeguarding confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Provide training and support to managers and supervisors to help them understand and apply HR best practices effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records while ensuring absolute confidentiality in all employee data management.
  • Support managers with handling employee absences, disciplinary actions, grievances, terminations, and underperformance reviews, ensuring processes are conducted fairly and professionally.
