About the College:
 
Believe that further and higher education is the most important milestone in building a strong foundation in transition from education to work. They strive towards creating a stimulating learning environment for their students that can help to cultivate good work habits and ethics in them and give them focus and motivation in life to achieve their goals.
The university System wishes to cater for those who were unable to complete their formal education and wish to do so now or wish to attain further skills. These may include people who are already working and wish to go back to education to improve their career prospects. They also cater for students who are having difficulties with secondary education and want additional academic support. They may also be people who have been driven away from education due to external or internal factors.

A project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) having campuses across the United Kingdom is looking for a Health and Social Care Lecturer with HE experiences based in the Manchester campus. The college is a national independent higher education provider, offering world class education. Taught programmes, ranging from Foundation Year through to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions. Learners have successfully completed their learning journey in the last five years with the current student population is over 3000.
As a result of a recent success and growth they are looking to appoint lecturers in health and social care faculty within the Manchester campus.

Successful candidates will work with staff to ensure an excellent student experience through the use of relevant and inspiring learning, teaching and assessment methods. Ideally you will combine industry and teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate and/or professional level.

Responsibilities:

– All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
– Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate.
– Teaching and learning including marking, assessment, and feedback Support colleagues to deliver organisational and statutory requirements.
– Work internally and externally to support partner organisations and activities Module leadership and associated activities
– The individual will work across differing levels according to organisational needs
– Permanent role.
– Salary £30,000.
 
What do you need?

  • 2+ years teaching experience in a further education role in the UK.
  • Masters degree.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
  • Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subjects.
  • 2 education-based references in the last 24 months.
  • A passion for teaching.
  • Good approach to behaviour management.
  • A determined, hard-working attitude.
