HIU Engineer

Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:

A family-owned M&E sub contractor in London and the Southeast is seeking HIU engineers to join their growing team. The engineers will be responsible for servicing, commissioning, inspecting, fault finding, repairing, and maintaining Heat Interface Units (HIUs) in customer’s homes. The position offers a permanent salary of £45,000-£50,000 per annum, four weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension scheme, a company van and fuel card, a smartphone and uniform/PPE, and training in all technologies/systems installed. Applicants must have a full UK manual driving license, be a qualified HIU engineer, and have heating controls experience.

Job Description:My client are a family-owned M&E Sub Contractor with a £45M+ annual turnover. Based in London and the Southeast, the company has been trading for over 50 years.

They now require a  HIU engineers to join there ever growing operation.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working on a mobile basis, you will be carrying out Heat Interface Unit (HIU) servicing, commissioning, inspections, fault finding, repair & maintenance, including minor electrical repairs within the HIU. The works will be generally within customer’s homes throughout London & the Southeast.

REQUIREMENTS:

Full UK Manual Driving Licence. Qualified HIU engineer. Heating Controls experience including fault finding an advantage. You may be required to undertake a full DBS check due to projects worked on.

THE INDIVIDUAL:

You will have experience working in occupied domestic households and show exceptional customer service skills. You will have excellent technical knowledge and a keen interest in learning about new technologies & equipment. You will be able to write detailed IT based reports of findings and work in a methodical manner. You will have previous experience with HIUs, including minor electrical repairs within the HIU.
