HGV Driver

The Best Connection Ltd is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV driver with HIAB Crane certification for a seasonal role in Goole, East Yorkshire. This position involves day work from Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday shifts, and requires the driver to assist in loading a 26-tonne rigid truck for multi-drop deliveries. The role mandates safe operation of the HIAB crane and customer interaction. The pay is £15.00 per hour on weekdays and £20.00 on Saturdays, with a guaranteed minimum of eight hours daily. Candidates must have a CPC, digi card, and no DR or DD endorsements on their licence.

CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER + HIAB CRANE
The Best Connection Ltd are an Employment business recruiting on behalf of our client.
We require an experienced Class 2 HGV driver with current HIAB Crane certification for a 2 to 3 month seasonal volume increase in business cover for our well established client who is a builders merchant. The work is based in Goole in East Yorkshire and is ongoing on day work Monday to Friday but will include Saturday work within the tachograph rules..
This role will require the driver/operator to assist with loading a 26t class 2 rigid truck. Once loaded the products will be delivered on a multi drop basis, most often to domestic premises but occasionally commercial or industrial premises and sometimes development sites. On most days the driver/operator will be required to return to the depot and re-load at least once, if not twice, each day. The deliveries are relatively short distances away from the depot. Unloading requires the safe operation of the lorry mounted HIAB crane using remote control.
PAY :
£ 15.00 per hour Monday to Friday
£ 20.00 per hour Saturday
A 45 minute break is not paid each day
The driver is guaranteed a minimum payment of 8 hours a day & most days will be approximately 10 hours (07.00 to 17.00).
The successful candidate must be prepared to be courteous and polite to our client’s customers and be as accommodating as possible to place the delivery where the customer wants it & within the bounds of safe operating procedures.
Some paperwork will be required to get POD from the customer.
No DR or DD endorsements on licence will be accepted. CPC and digi card is required. Some experience is required as training will be limited, the candidate will be expected to step into the role in this busy working environment and get on with the job.
