36Job Description:HGV Depot Manager Vacancy – Commercial Truck and Van Dealership Dunstable
- Position: Depot Manager
- Location: Dunstable
- Salary: Up to £65,000
- Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility required occasionally)
Our Client is a well known main dealer of Commercial Vehicles (Trucks and Vans) in Bedfordshire. The company itself have sites across the UK and run a massive, well organised and profitable operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Service Manager to enhance their career with a great company that offers new challenges and exciting career prospects within the commercial sector within their state of the art commercial dealership.
You must be highly experienced in the Service department to apply for this role. Ideally with a background in Service Management.
Responsibilities Of The HGV Depot Manager:
- Define market targets and create annual plans with management.
- Manage department costs effectively.
- Develop and maintain a resource plan for workshop optimisation.
- Ensure proper planning for facilities, equipment, and workspace design.
- Prepare investment plans for workshops, facilities, and HR with management.
- Determine staffing needs, hire new employees, and develop induction plans.
- Manage, coach, and motivate staff to maintain high-quality performance.
- Set business objectives and personal development goals, and monitor performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office.
- Good working knowledge of Kerridge (Dealer Management System)
- HGV Experience necessary
