HGV Class 2 Driver

Backline Logistics is recruiting Class 2 HIAB Drivers for utilities projects in Plymouth, Devon. The role involves deliveries, uplifts, and reinstatement activities, offering guaranteed overtime pay and immediate starts. Candidates must have experience using a Clamshell Bucket and hold a valid HIAB ticket, with free refresher training available. A full UK Class 2 Licence, CPC, and digital tachograph card are required. The position guarantees nine hours of pay per day, with competitive rates and weekend double-time. Backline Logistics are seeking *Class 2 HIAB* Drivers to carry out deliveries, uplifts and all aspects of backfilling and reinstatement activities on *utilities projects* in *Plymouth, Devon. *You will get *guaranteed overtime pay every day, immediate starts available*.
You must have previous experience using a *Clamshell Bucket on utilities projects, *if your HIAB ticket is lapsed we can refresh it for *FREE*. Street Works ticket and/or SHEA Gas training are desirable, but not essential as *full training *given. You must be *clean shaven for health and safety requirements*.
You are guaranteed 9 hours per day, the first 7 hours and 45 minutes are paid at £18.34, after this you get paid £24.39 for the rest of the day. Saturdays and Sundays are available and paid at double time of £36.68 per hour.
This is an ongoing role with temp to perm opportunities for the right candidate.
*THE REQUIREMENTS*
* You must hold a full UK Class 2 / Category C License with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
* You must hold a current and valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
* Hold a current or lapsed HIAB ticket (issued by an accredited training provider such as ALMI, AITT or NPORS)
* Excellent Health & Safety knowledge.
