HGV Class 1 Driver

An HGV Class 1 Driver position is available in Central London, offering pay starting from £24.50 per hour with midday starts and weekend availability. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely deliveries.
*Duties*
* Operate a lorry for the safe transportation of goods to various locations.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
* Ensure that all items are secured properly for transport.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly.
*Requirements*
* Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record ( no more than 5 points and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements )
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
* A positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service is essential.
