HGV 1 Driver

Abacus Employment is seeking Class 1 (C+E) HGV drivers for ongoing roles that may lead to permanent positions due to company growth. Drivers will deliver caged stock to one or two stores throughout the south of England, with no London runs or overnight stays required. Responsibilities include safely operating HGV vehicles, timely deliveries, vehicle inspections, and effective communication with dispatch and customers. Positions offer an average of 44 hours per week with a salary range of £47,910.72 to £56,994.08 per annum, plus overtime. Applicants must hold a valid HGV1 licence, full CPC, and Digi Tacho.

Abacus Employment are looking for *Class 1* *(C+E) HGV* drivers for an ongoing position with high potential to go permanent. These positions are result of company growth.
As a HGV 1 Driver you will working for a large retailer delivering caged stock to 1 or 2 stores across the south of England. No London runs and no night outs.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
* Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining accurate delivery records.
* Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition at all times.
*Hours: *
* Currently we have roles on Day and Night shift patterns
* On-going drivers on a 5 on 3 off rota
* Average hours per week are 44 hours.
* Range of start times available.
*Salary: *
* £47,910.72 – 56,994.08 per annum. (PAYE)

*What are the Requirements?*
* A current and validHGV1,
* full CPC and Digi Tacho
* Class 1 (C+E) HGVDriving experience
* Maximum 6 points on licence
