111Job Description:In this role, you will be helping to deliver our Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Strategy, and ensuring compliance with the Thames Water management system, standards, processes, and procedures. You will provide technical skills and support both on-site and remotely to ensure the safe running of our operations.
What you’ll be doing as a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor:
- Undertake audits/inspections.
- Assist in the review and agreement process of safe systems of work and risk assessments where there is a significant risk to safety and the environment.
- Provide support and advice to stakeholders (which will include wholesale, support service staff, and contractors) on Safety, Health, and Well-being matters including compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practices.
- Deliver training in line with the annual training plan.
- Assist with compliance on high-hazard sites under the COMAH regulations.
- Lead incident investigations.
- Liaise with enforcing authorities and professional/industry groups.
What you should bring to the role:
- NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 5.
- Have or work towards CMIOSH.
- Extensive track record of working in a health & safety role within the water, utilities or critical national infrastructure environment, Ideally with some process safety experience will be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal and the ability to communicate with senior business leaders.
- Be self-motivated and able to work as a part of a team.
- Full UK Driving license.
