The Duchy of Cornwall is a dynamic, future-focused landed estate, dedicated to creating positive impact for people, places, and the planet. We’re entering a pivotal phase of transformation and growth, and we’re looking for a commercially minded qualified accountant to join us on that journey.
This new role will work closely with lead directors and key teams to shape the financial strategy behind our development sites—supporting smart, informed decision-making around planning, investment, and delivery.
We’re looking for someone who’s confident working at the heart of big decisions – supporting our CEO, CFO and Development Director with clear, thoughtful financial insight that helps shape the future of our development projects. You’ll get stuck into everything from land acquisitions to capital investments, helping to build solid business cases and making sure the numbers tell the real story behind every opportunity.
This isn’t just about spreadsheets. You’ll get to know our sites inside out, work closely with planning, development, and finance teams, and present your findings in a way that’s clear and useful – especially to colleagues who aren’t finance experts. You’ll help keep projects on track by challenging assumptions, spotting risks, and offering honest, well-informed advice that helps us make better choices.
You’ll need to be comfortable juggling competing priorities and explaining complex ideas in a straightforward way. If you’ve got strong commercial instincts, enjoy working across teams, and can stay calm under pressure, this is a great chance to make your mark on projects that really matter.
We operate a hybrid/flexible working model. Travel to Duchy development sites will be required.
