We have an amazing opportunity to join a young person’s leisure resort as a head chef. You will have experience of running a very busy kitchen and catering for up to 800 covers. You will have extensive management experience and enjoy getting the best out of your team as well providing excellent quality food for the visitors and staff. You will have worked in a high-volume kitchen that is used to working with allergens and special dietary needs
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced meals for a up to 650 students and staff.
  • Ensure all meals meet dietary, religious, and medical requirements, including allergen awareness.
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume catering environment while maintaining quality.
  • Build and develop the team
  • Follow food hygiene and safety regulations to the highest standards.
  • Assist with menu planning, incorporating variety and special dietary needs.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth service and a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety procedures.
  • Oversee kitchen audits

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a head Chef in a high-volume catering kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of allergens, special diets, and food safety regulations.
  • A passion for food and creating meals that cater to diverse needs.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience running a team
