Gootopia is seeking a Branch Manager for its Bristol location at Willow Brook Shopping Centre, offering a salary of £25,000 plus quarterly bonuses. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in retail, hospitality, or leisure management, and a passion for leading teams and engaging with customers, especially children. Responsibilities include managing staff schedules, stock control, running parties and workshops, training new recruits, and addressing customer complaints. Gootopia is the UK’s slime & sensory-play wonderland – where retail meets workshops, parties, and gooey magic. We’re looking for an energetic, organised, people-loving Branch Manager to run our Bristol site and make every visitor’s day unforgettable.
*What you will do:*
· Managing the rota’s
· Ensuring stock is maintained and ordered when needed
· Running parties and workshops when necessary
· Training staff to run parties
· Being part of the selection process for new recruits, including monitoring trials
· Dealing with customer complaints
· Ensuring equipment and fittings are in good working order
· Keeping marketing materials updated
· Confirming party details with customers
· Handling end-of-day cashing up and reporting takings
· Alerting owner about any operational issues
· Welcoming and engaging customers as they arrive.
· Ensuring staff are properly assigned and know their roles for the day.
· Handling bookings and schedules to manage party sizes and staff allocation.
· Keeping the store organised and ensuring all daily tasks are completed.
· Managing customer expectations and resolving any issues professionally.
· Supervising staff performance and keeping energy levels high, especially in workshops.
· Ensuring all equipment, furniture, and fittings are in good working order and arranging repairs if needed.
*You’ll need:*
* 3+ years in retail, hospitality, or leisure management
