Midland Boilercare Ltd have been looking after our customers heating and hot water needs for over 23yrs. We provide a full range of gas and heating services to our new and existing customers, and are Leicestershires leading experts in Gledhill thermal store repairs and replacements.
Due to one of our engineers moving away from the area, we are in need of an experienced Gas Servicing and Breakdown Engineer to join our friendly team and help with our exciting expansion plans.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate with our customers on all levels, be polite, motivated, competent in fault finding using a multimeter, and above all, take pride in their work.
*Main responsibilities:*
* Carry out annual servicing and preventative maintenance to boilers, fires and unvented cylinders.
* Diagnose and repair appliances as required
* Carry out landlord gas safety inspections on behalf of our quality letting agents and private landlords.
* Use our engineer software to accurately record work carried out and any further work required.
* Work in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
* Comply with company policies, HSE regulations and GS(IU)R.
* Carry out other tasks within your skillset
* Liaise with merchants for ordering spares as required.
*Qualifications and experience*
* ACS with CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, HTR1, and CKR1 – essential.
* A working knowledge of all types of heating systems.
* Unvented hot water G3 certification – desired, but not essential.
* Understanding of thermal stores – desired, but not essential.
* Gas Servicing and Breakdown Engineer – minimum 1 years experience.
* Ability to install if required – desired but not essential.
* Ability to fault find using a multimeter.

* Base salary of £38,000 – 40,000 (depending upon experience) with additional earning opportunities.
* Overtime availability paid at an enhanced rate.
* Monday to Friday working 08:00-16:30.
* No call out rota.
